Weather radars across Australia are picking up unusual patterns that have meteorologists baffled. While the Bureau of Meteorology confirms there are no significant weather changes, the insect activity are causing confusion in the radar readings. These swarms of moths are producing confusing patterns on the radar, making it hard to identify between weather patterns and insect movements. Meteorologists are working to understand the confusing signals and their likely consequences on weather forecasting.
